Putting the Lone Star together

I sewed the rows together for all eight star points, and I'm pretty impressed with the Quilt Smart foundation. You just need to fold on the line between the rows and then sew on the sewing line. The points look really good!
I have two different colors at the ends of the star points - green and gold. I laid out the star both ways to see how I wanted to sew it together.
I think the with the green in the center it just blends in too much. With the gold in the center, that center star really pops I think. Here's the finished product:
Now just to get it quilted!

  2. This is amazing! I've had a lone star quilt on my list forever. Maybe I'll actually get around to making one someday. :)

  3. Oh, and I agree, the gold in the middle was definitely the way to go.
